About Salus
Established in 2007, Salus Education is proudly based in San Antonio, Texas.
The Salus family includes medical professionals, e-learning specialists, and expert consultants in school health
care and administration. Our name "Salus" is defined in Latin as promoting Health, Safety, Well-Being, and Salvation.
In addition to communicating our priorities, our name reflects our deep commitment to our nation's students and the outstanding
professionals who educate and care for them throughout the school year. Our logo is representative of a traditional text, but
with an element of cutting-edge design to represent our continual use of leading technologies to help schools meet their training
requirements.
Lack of school personnel with adequate training in diabetes care, limited resources (time and money),
and even pre-existing policies that are in conflict with State and Federal laws have posed significant
barriers to effectively accommodating the needs of students with diabetes. At Salus, we have made it
our mission to break down these barriers by providing schools with the information and resources they
need to efficiently and effectively train their entire staff on the care of students with diabetes. Our program assists
school staff, parents, and the health care team alike with the communication and execution of relevant medical requirements
so that every student with diabetes can continue to participate in and enjoy all of the educational opportunities the school
has to offer.

consultant to eight Air Force Child Development Centers, he developed key processes to help ensure the safety of students
with diabetes and food allergies.
